Professional experience
1990-2001
The beginning – Bread production
Bread production. 12,000 to 15,000 breads daily, 3 bakeries, 30 persons of personnel. Bread delivery to 600 stores.
When I started the bread business, my logic was that as long as there are people, there will be bread production. I was 21 and I and absolutely no idea about business.Â
It turned out that I had just entered a field of perfect competition business, where there was no economic profit, just accounting one (your profit equals the interest you’d get on your money had you kept it in a bank).
A noble, but extremely ungrateful business. I’ve often had days with over 20 work hours in them. And as I owned the business, nobody paid me for the extra hours 🙂 .
Perhaps the only positive thing of this period was that I learned how to do business. Because the business is absolutely the same whether you sell cucumbers on the market, or space shuttles.Â
2001 - now
building design and building construction
Entering the family business.
Design and execution of electrical and building automation systems. Responsible for the whole electricity department of the company.
I still co-own this business. We have designed and built hundreds of buildings.Â
This is an old, well established business with constant, sustainable income.
2006 - 2012
Trade with China
For a period of a few years, I traded with China. Great experience. I imported different building materials, like doors, windows, stones, tiles, ceramics, as well as any type of building automation and electronics.
In order to trade successfully with China, you need to travel at least twice a year to different expositions. Chinese partners like seeing you often, so keep this in mind when working with them.
China is an amazing country with old culture and vivid, curious people. Every time I went there, I came back with great experience and a knowledge on something new and exciting.
2012 - now
Business Consultancy
In 2012 I started providing business and strategy advice, mainly in the energy sector. I still provide such advice.Â
2016 - 2023
Member of the Board of the Directors of CSKS
For a few years I worked as a Director of Internationalization and a Board member of a high-tech cluster dealing with knowledge economy and smart cities.Â
Interesting experience, during this time I worked on Erasmus+ and COSME projects, which allowed me to meet some really interesting partners from the EU, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong.Â
2023 - now
Digital marketing
3 years ago I discovered the universe of the Digital Marketing and since then, I am having tremendous fun working in this area.
Today, I am providing to my clients any kind of advice in the area of Digital Marketing. And there is so much to be done!
A huge lot of people underestimate the importance of the SEO for their business. And this is the FREE way of getting clients in your office!Â
It is amazing how much could be done in the area of social media and search engine advertising. It seems, organizing a good marketing campaign on social media is still a challenge for many!
Perhaps one of the most fascinating things nowadays, however, are the sales funnels. This is something that equalizes the chances of the small businesses and corporations. Sales funnels allow small guys to sell their products, to profit from discounts, to make upsells and downsells and to be profitable! Amazing, amazing concept that try to show to any of my clients.
Of course, today it is impossible to work in the Digital Marketing without the help of the AI and any kind of digital automation. So, I an happy to help my customer use automation in any of their processes and of course, to use the AI in the best possible way ( you would be surprised how many wrong ways there are now to use this tool 🙂 ).
